Feb. 7, 2004 In memory of Traci Johnson - Cymbalta victim

This is the forth year I publish this post at the same date.
Traci Johnson, a healthy volunteer, joined Cymbalta's Eli-Lilly urinary incontinence clinical trial in early January, 2004 in a clinic at Indiana University Medical Center.
In February, 7 her body was found. She hung herself with a scarf from a shower rod at Eli-Lily's facilities.

I added her picture at the right-top.

........................................................................RIP Traci Johnson (your candle is still burning)

  2. Yes. Suicidal ideation caused by SSRIs should be of common knowledge.
People kill themselves or others because of drug-induced violent behavior.
    Still, doctors say nothing.

On 20 March 2008, I arrived home from work to find my only child, 17 year old Toran, had hanged himself. Toran had been prescribed the antidepressant fluoxetine 15 days earlier, despite having no diagnosis of any mental disorder.]

  5. I doubt it's just Cymbalta. They don't know exactly how these drugs work. My brother was depressed but not suicidal until he was prescribed Bupropion. I don't know the commercial name of the medication (because the prescribing Dr. is protecting my dead brother's confidentiality or covering her a$$) but I suspect it was Wellbutrin. At 8pm, he spoke with a younger brother and gave no indication of trouble. Later that night, he hung himself. How many "Adverse Effect" deaths are considered acceptable?

  6. there are millions of neurotransmitters that are still to be discovered.
Yes, they know too little but that violent behavior is a side effect that should prevent these drugs from being prescribed is a fact.
I'm very sorry for your lost.
This is a crime against humanity.
